ABOUT

London-based singer/songwriter, ITAMAR is described by some as “the Israeli Morrissey”.

Compared to Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode) and Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), and as original and unique as David Bowie, ITAMAR is receiving huge praise by radio presenters and critics alike after making a pilgrimage to London some 3 years ago to persue a dream, living between hostels, going hungry, and recognized as making many sacrifices for some very original material.

He formed a band consisting of Peter Ellis (bass), Jonathan MacTait (guitar), Simon Juniper (drums) and Fabien Flight (keyboards).

They have played shows at venues such as O2 Islington Academy 2, Monto Water Rats, Purple Turtle and Cobden Club, as well as festivals such as Oxjam and Uberfest and others.

ITAMAR’s demo EP was played on more than 50 radio stations across the UK, including BBC 6 Music, Kerrang! Radio, BRMB and Manx Radio. Songs from the EP were titled ‘Record Of The Week’, entered commercial playlists and more.

ITAMAR also had a dozen interviews and live sessions at stations such as Roundhouse Radio.

ITAMAR’s new single, ‘Step On It’, was recorded in Miloco Studios, London, produced and mixed by John Poole (The Enemy, Ladyhawke) from Solar Management. Mastered by Barry Grint (David Bowie, Muse, Oasis).

‘Step On It’ is out now on Glasstone Records.
