Space Fight - Biography - SPACE FIGHT are fun, danceable, exciting, with the rare combination of great musicianship and songwriting. With members coming as far as New Jersey (US) they formed in South London taking influence from The Police, Steely Dan,
The Beach Boys, U2, Squeeze, & vocalist Spencer's brother's band Ra Ra Riot from the US. Spencer's previous New York City band Thing One (http://www.thing-one.com/said.html) gained reasonable local success garnering a lot of good press. So too did Billy's London band, The Brunels. But, both bands had
plateaued, and Billy and Spencer were looking for fresh blood and new directions. Spencer moving across the pond from New Jersey to London sparked the beginning, and some of the material is inspired by this change. Despite growing up 3,500 miles apart, Spencer & Billy found an instant connection, sharing similar ideas
for what would shortly become SPACE FIGHT. However, their very first session almost ended in disaster when a dodgy US plugboard exploded and almost blew up the house! The self-titled SPACE FIGHT EP was produced by Spencer Miles in South London, in Billy's house, on a budget of £43 for power converters, guitar strings,
and Tube fare, and mixed by Greg Brooker (Glasstone) and will be released soon on Glasstone Records. Additonally, the remix for '22' was created by Ra Ra Riot producer Andrew Maury, and the remix for 'Into the Blind' was created by Philadelphia MC/producer, and childhood friend Lushlife.
